Avoiding the other blog for a bit yet so these peculiar little observances of mine will be noted here. Lucky you.

Have you ever realized the truth in the idea that people are drawn closer to you the further you pull away?

Case in point: There's a guy I used to know; still do. We liked each other - nothing was done about it. So life changes and I move. Eventually he gets a girlfriend. At first, I didn't like the idea (selfishly) but now, I don't care much one way or the other. So lately, between horrid winter storms having all types of communication down, my odd/changing work schedule, laziness, and let us not forget my deflated yet caustic state of mind, I haven't spoken to him as much as I normally do. Do you know the son of a bitch has called me three times in the past week?! Three. Three minute messages on my voice mail harassing me, although humorously, for not returning his calls.

If just find it strange that I'm now 'all that', you know? Seriously though, in spite of being a die hard Republican, he's a wonderful friend. I've just noticed that the less effort I make, the more he takes to talk with me.

Just something I noticed and had to comment on. Humans are weird, no?

Perhaps a new catch phrase is in order?

Over the past few years I've taken to stating that I'm going to 'stab someone's eye out' or 'stab them in the eye' when I get really irritated about something ridiculously stupid they've done.

Ok, first...ew. I really don't want someone's eyeball gumming up the end of my pen, should that be the chosen weapon. Second, my cousin did have her eye stabbed out with a stick and now has a lovely glass eye. That makes me feel doubly careless in tossing out these ill-chosen words.

Guess my lack of patience and cup-o-violent tendencies overfloweth. And if you don't like that, well, I'm sure you can figure out what comes next...
